Interested in my TA??

I am taking summer school at the moment and all my classes have TA's teaching the whole class. After two weeks of school I was scrolling through profiles on tinder and saw that MY TA HAD SUPER LIKED ME. I know he knows who I am. I sit infront of the class and have emailed him multiple times. I ended up sending him a message on Tinder after a lot of thought but he never responded.

I know its a "conflict of interest" and thats why he did not respond to me. I see him everywhere... But mostly in the school gym. Whenever I do see him, I act like I don't know he's there. I think he's very interesting and cute... What should I do? and How should I act when I see him out of class?

@mandmh,

If you pursue this course while taking this class? You could possibly get him kicked out of that school (it's pretty unethical for teachers and teacher's assistants to be in these kinds of relationships with their student charges).

And worse ... if you yourself are a minor and he is a legal adult (you left a lot of details out... so we have to guess here).

I suspect you already know that ... which is why you asked the question here instead of just going with your attempted courtship.

you act like a normal grown-up running into a TA

polite, courteous, you don't pretend you don't see them - you're not a 12 year old (I hope)

once summer school is out and there is no longer a formal academic relationship, you can wait to see if he gets in touch with you - since you already reached out

I know he could get in big trouble which is why I have not told anyone. But it confuses me that he would even DARE to super like my tinder profile if he knew I was his student. I do not understand at all.

block him on it while he is your ta if you can't deal with it

Look for your hook-ups elsewhere.
