Yeah, especially the pubs in PB and the clubs in the Gaslamp

Funny Soz... 'cause right now I'd give anything to be snuggled up in a blanked on the couch with a nice hot mug of cocoa and a movie instead of here. Hmm... dreamy...

I do know what you mean though...

Yeah, I feel that way 'round August, when it's been too hot too long.

But for now, bring on the sunshine!

That robin knows his stuff -- bee you ti ful day today. Guess the Iowa weather made its way here, dropping a few degrees (high of 62 today) but still lovely.

Gonna do a lot of yard work today! Very Happy

Seriously big-time snowing.

We had a weather storm watch last night - and they were right.

I'm glad I didn't take the mulch off anything yet. As ugly as the yard is, the baby leaves are still safe under there (I did peek the other day, just to check).

Seriously big-time snow coming down, but doesn't seem to be sticking.

I think everything that's out and unexposed is cold-hardy. I'll see, I guess.

Insane I tell you! I don't think I've ever seen as much snow in the air here, and now it's starting to stick.

At least my little baby seedlings are inside and protected...

It sure is sticking here on the mountain. Can't even see for the heavy snow and wet snow and ice pellets etc. etc.

ARGHHHHHHHH is right!

Oh, it's sticking all right.

The dogs are under-impressed. It was all I could do to lure Miss Cleo outside to pee - she stood about 10 feet in from the door, and just peered out, til I went out.

If snow is "falling" right to left, is that a bad thing?

Shocked

Every winter is a season of discontent. I live in Melbourne, Oz, so I know! Our winters drag & drag & draw themselves out ... on & on & on. Just the anticipation (even during this freak warm spell) makes me feel melancholy. No snow here, just constant, drawn out, grey winter days. I would love to go north to the sun every single winter. When I'm rich, maybe ....

when I spoke to hamburger on Thursday night, he reminded how much warmer than usual it was this winter - we've just had more snow than we'd had for a bit - and it mostly got concentrated at the end of the season

he was right. my furnace was still going strong at the end of May last year. Turned it off as a matter of principle, not because I was actually warm.

Rain. Considerable Rain. One-to-three inches falling on frozen ground.

We're on high ground, but a flood watch is in effect. The routes between us and civilization are both parallel to and crossing picturesque little streams.
