No, they don’t. Let’s get the dangers that cyclists pose to other road
users in perspective. Although cycling is not as dangerous as many people think, cyclists suffer more injuries per mile than people in cars. Moreover (and hardly surprisingly), cyclists are much more likely to be hurt in a collision with a motor vehicle than the driver or passenger. Contrary to popular belief, however, they are likely to be at fault.
I think you're referring to bicyclists, but here is an example of bad driving by auto drivers.

Cyclist is the term used over here, nobody says bicyclists. American English is just one form of English.
