How does the small tubular magnet adjust volume on Liberty hearing aid? What does 3 beeps, 2 beeps, 1 beep do when placed on the ear? Does it adjust background noise, etc? I can tell no difference.

@Msliz10,
I have one, but it is obviously a different model. Mine use synthetic speech for messages. I also have a GN Resound, which does use beeps and chimes. Three beeps of descending tone to indicate low battery. One beep to confirm you have manually changed between three available tones.

For what it's worth, the second program softens the higher frequencies and turns off all but the forward microphone. It helps you understand the person you are talking to, while dampening background noise like you get in restaurants.

You probably already know that hearing aids help, but come nowhere near normal hearing.

Here's my thread on the subject. https://able2know.org/topic/59076-1. Don't know if it helps you, or not.
