Edgar, I can't stop thinking about how you must feel about Cav's death. Would it help for you (and for the rest of us) to talk about Cav's poetry and how he came to excel in it?

Tripping over the lights
basted in halogen glaze,
with stars in the eyes
and elephants in the heart,
we stomach on
and dream of Fiji,
temperate climes
and natural beauty.

Many of my fondest thoughts of Cav came from that thread. It is where I first came to know him. The thread is long and I don't have time to comb through it. He, Letty, Drom, Colorbook, Gelisgesti and a host of other good minds came together to make that one something special. I can't write a poem for Cav, because that is not how my mind works. His own poems say so much more than anything I could come up with.
