A friend of mine wrote,

"I count myself very happy to be able to study and work
that align with my values and the things I believe in."

Does this sound natural enough?
And is the pattern 'count oneself adjective' a common one?

My friend who wrote this is pretty darn good at English,
and I don't think she made any mistake,
and still, I just wonder if the count-related expression is commonly used among natives.

Thank you.

It sounds natural (US usage) and is reasonably common. You also hear "I count myself lucky".

@SMickey,
'I count myself very happy to have the ability to study and work. Thus aligning, both, my values and beliefs.'
