Much to my own surprise Guns and Roses. When they first arrived they were like Emenem. Their lyrics very caustic and politically incorrect but the music was thunderous and grand the the words sang like poetry rather than rock.

I guess we have the ability to just be able to march right on.

Hmm, I have alot.
I loved alot of the loud angry music at that time. Testament being one of my favorite bands, though , they got thier start in the late 80's, thier fan fare came mid 90's so that counts! Laughing
I have always liked Pearl Jam. Eddie Vedder has such a signature melodic voice.. noone can match that.

My favorite band in the 90's was Smashing Pumpkins. Also highly dug the Beastie Boys, who officially started in the 80's though.

Milli Vanilli, although their first album came out in 1989, played tunes directly to my heart all through that glorious decade of the 90's.

I liked Dio back then. Also Warrior Soul.

I don't really like the band but I went through a phase of being obsessed with Three Sides To Every Story by Extreme.

Then there was the whole grunge thing, Soundgarden, Janes Addiction, Pearl Jam, Alice In Chains were all good...I have NEVER liked Nirvana.

Milli Vanilli played to the heart.

Snow, Canadian rapping sensation, spoke to the SOUL.

One hit wonders:

Deep Blue Something, House of Pain, The Proclaimers, Primitive Radio Gods, US3, and maybe one of the worst Lou Bega ~ Mambo #5.

(just try getting that song out of your head)

To answer your question, I think Screaming Trees was a one hit wonder. "Nearly Lost You" is their only song that I know of.
Marcy Playground was definitely a one hit wonder with "Sex & Candy", because I don't think "It's Saturday" was too popular. Fortunately my other '90s favorites had many hits.

I absolutely love the album "Closing Time," by Mr. Tom Waits, which I coincidentally happen to be listening to right now, late at night, after too many PBRS, after a good show w/ my band...

Don't mean to derail the thread...proceed.

Gargamel, it would only be a good show if you ended the show with you smashing a beer can over your head and yelling into the mic "<enter your high school name> FOOTBALL RULES!!"
