Should it be founder instead of Founder?

We aim towards the achievement of our goal - establishing a membership of 800,000 believers by the auspicious occasion of the 800th anniversary of the advent of our Founder Nichiren Daishonon in 2021.

The above sentence is from a Buddhist magazine.

1. Should it be founder instead of Founder?
2. Should it be our founder, Nichiren Daishonin instead of our Founder Nichiren Daishonin?

Thanks.

I believe so.

If "founder" was part of his official title, then it should be capitalized as part of his name. But I don't believe that "founder" was a title in this case.

The commas would probably work (you'd need a second comma after the name), but I'd skip them since they aren't really necessary.

There should be a comma after the name, because otherwise, it appears that the sect was founded 800 years ago, in 2021. That is, of course, an absurdity.
