Thanks for the info about Ripway, dj. One day I'll have a friend who understands computers look into it. I just listened to Mary Jo. I like it.
i've ditched the weekly bit, i'll probably update every few days
enjoy the new stuff, it's in the first post
Thanks, dj. A hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy is a lovely way to spend and evening.
Great choice, dj. I've got Superchunks 2001, "Here's to Shutting Up."
letty, i may host the hhgttg some day, the files are big but manageable for my bandwidth
swimpy, thanks, i'm a big fan of this band
stay tuned for more music
i'm thinking something in a country vein next time
djjd: great thread, like panzade said earlier reading lyrics and hearing a song are worlds apart. too bad only you and jpinmilwaukee are the only two to figure out how to post songs, keep up the good work.
BTW is there a HHGTTG thread in books? If not there should be.
sublime, the bbc has a great h2g2 webforum (it's the www i've got under my posts) - weird wonderful discussions - and updates on what's happening about the film
i found a site that was hosting the original radio broadcasts, and the 6 newest episodes, so i have them on my comp, and could theoretically make them available (well not the new episodes, unless i can figure a way to shrink them)
i'm worried about the movie, the bbc tv series for all it's tackiness at least got the story dead on
has anyone sen the trailer yet, it's not very comforting
I'm in for any h2g2 discussions.
Tell me about the trailer..?
Oh, forgot to tell ya that I listened to Honey Bee last night. Really liked it - so did my female dog - Cleo may have a career in doggie choreography as she was dancing along with me (which she rarely does).
That damn Zevon song is following me around. Dj sure picked a good one.
i'll be doing a new profile sometime tonight
the new album is up
some elvis
costello that is
Cool...I'll be back to comment
Thanks for some early Elvis Costello, I was only familiar with his "Allison" type stuff. It seems he shied away from the country sound in his later recordings.
he sort of got it out of his system, but you can hear the country influence on "king of america"
I just found this thread. I'm listening!
I'd forgotten how much I liked the early Elvis C.
Thanks djjd.
