You folks are my last hope... on "Boston Public," a guest star, a rapper (it pains me to even write the word) named GQ performed a rap (what else) on why "Shakespeare Sucks." Please, I know, but work with me here. I only heard it once, but I would go so far as to as to call it brilliant - really (I never thought in my remaining years I would ever utter [or write] the words "rap" and "brilliant" in the same sentence - yes, I am an old far..., well, you know). Anyhow, I am desperately seeking a copy of the lyrics. Can anyone help? Thank you!!!!!
I have posted your question on numerous message boards with my return address so hopefully we will find an answer. Happy to help. Cat
It looks like it was specific to the show, like GQ (as Duane) performed it but it's not his own song. It was on episode #65.
You could probably write to the show to get a transcript.
sozobe - thanks, but I already tried - my request was ignored (or lost somehwere in the shuffle)... maybe I should try again.
Did you ask for the specific episode number?
In one ("the episode with GQ as the guest star, and he did a rap about Shakespeare...") they have to think a little, in another ("transcript for episode 65, please") they don't.
Good luck, anyway! (And post it here unless you think you'd get in trouble for it -- now I'm curious.)
I found a couple of dvd's on ebay... I'll try for one of those. I'll also try again for a script.
Thanks again.
