We had drought for a number of years, but for about a year we have had rain rain and more rain. The slabs on the buildings and homes are under a lot of stress due to this development. - Lots of cracked bricks and concrete.
Oh, spring. Where is spring? Still freezing below 0 here and everything is frozen. (sigh)
Well, you DO live in the fabled frozen north, me little flutterbye!
Next few days the weather will be in the 40 F range. The remaining dirty pee covered snow is frozen like a glacier in my fields. However branch tips on the swamp maple and sassafras are turning bright red, saying that the sap is running.. Eagles are gone, srtupid robins showed up in a blizzard. (Weve got an emergency robin soup kitchen). Were hangin on.
I know Deb. I love everything here except for the brutal winters.
Farmerman
The Robins showed up here a few weeks ago as well. I think they'll be ok though because there are still some apples left on our apple trees from last year.
We have had robins all winter - first time in ages.
Wow! That's strange. I wonder what they're thinking this year.
I don't know. They usually come for a few days - at most a week - but they stayed this time.
No sun here :-( Brrrrrrr!!!!
Yesterday the weather was picture perfect. My dog, who has been hiding indoors all winter spent most of the day on the porch in the sun.
A good day is a day without snow!
Well - We had snow several years ago. It drifted down and dissappeared on contact.
Well , the snow drifts have melted so I could get the tractor with the front end loader out of the barn yesterday. Ive gotta learn to plan better
It snowed here this morning. Not much, but still snow
The sun is shining - birds are singing! Springtime is coming to Balingen!
There you go urs53. Can I have some of that please?
