Would it be better if "any" were removed?

Applications are invited from any candidates interested in the following posts.

Would it be better if "any" were removed?

Thanks.

@tanguatlay,
I would change any to all.

It's more inviting Smile

The word "candidate" has some kind of influence here.

"any candidate" may mean one of more than two.

Context would help here.

Do you invite an application?

All (any) candidates are invited to submit applications . . .

Strictly speaking, a person does not become a candidate until after their application has been accepted for consideration in the recruitment process. I think a more sensible phrasing would be "Applications are invited from anyone (or people) interested in the following posts."
