schooling/MOE

A clause on the Education Ministry’s website states that a child who is successfully registered in a school based on false information given will be transferred to another school with available vacancies after all eligible children have been registered.

The child is still schooling at the said school.

A MOE spokesperson told TODAY they “will decide on the best course of action for the child at a later stage” as the couple has 14 days to appeal against their sentence should they require.

1. Is "schooling" correctly used?
2. Should it be "an MOE" instead of "A MOE"?

Thanks.

@tanguatlay,
I'll try. It depends on how MOE is pronounced. If it is pronounced like the letter M, that is, eem, then use 'an' because it sounds like the acronym begins with a vowel. If the pronunciation sounds like it begins with a consonant, use 'a'.

I hope that's clear. It's the best I can do without actually speaking in person.

Oh, 'schooling' is correct.

that is a strange formulation.

You could say - The child is still attending the school.

That is a really good way to make many people not help. Seen as whining or queue-jumping.
