Today is a pretty rotten day but then again, I've been a pretty misrable person for the last 4 days....I have, however, had a flight with my husband, had my headllight burn out, whack my elbow and drop a stack of papers this morning. Lovely Monday.

i'm eyeing the outside cautiously. had my coffee, had my shower, nothing out of ordinary and outright depressing has happened except for my boss calling me i have to come to work despite everything else being shut down due to snow storm. but then again i can't hold a grudge, i wanted to go anyway. can't get my car out, am just going to walk. there are meters and meters of snow and sun is shining, looks lovely. sending some of the good thoughts kristie's way.

well, looks can be deceiving. I really want to get back into bed and not leave the house today. But as I have to be at work, throwing my computer at the next person who walks by will suffice.

I slept maybe 1 1/2 hours last night, and not all together. I am seriously grumpy. Confused Sad

Great! Just GREAT!

Bear woke me up at 3 AM when he got home and told me our van had broken down. All of his equipment is still at the club. No vehicle, he had to have someone bring him home.

I so fretted over this that by the time I got back to sleep I was so tired I missed the alarm. Kids now don't have a way to school.

Dang it! And, it's still early! None of this would have happened had I not known this was to be the worst day of the year!

Well, my goodness. You people cheer up! Everyone has down daze, just ask the eider duck.

Ok, so here's a song to make you feel better:

I make a date for golf and you can bet your arse it rains,
Try to give a party and the guy upstair complains.
Guess I'll go through life just catching colds and missing planes.
Everything happens to me.
I haven't missed a thing, I had the measles and the mumps.
And everytime I play an ace my partner always trumps.
Guess I'm just a fool who never looks before she jumps.
Everything happens to me.

(bridge)
At first I thought that love would break this jinx for me,
That I had found the trick to end despair,
But seems I just can't fool this heart that thinks for me.
So I've mortgaged all my castles in the air.

I telegraphed and phoned, I sent an e-mail to you, too.
The answer was, "goodbye" and there was even postage due.
I fell in love just once, and then it had to be with you.
Every thing happens to me.

( a wee bit of liberty taken with the original lyrics)

Seriously, all. I feel for yawl.

It's much more pronounced the farher north you go. Scandinavians i.e. Sweden, Finland et al, athis time of the year may see the sun come up and almost immediately disappear. This contributes greatly to depression, drinking and suicide.

Ecstatic because I get to deal with an increased number of people who are feeling less than optimal this month. January is a weird time, not surprisingly.
