What to Expect at Preoperative visit for upcoming eyelid surgery?

They will want a list of all medications. They may advise you of certain medications you should skip on the day of surgery, like blood thinners and if you have diabetes they will include that due to the fasting. If there is anesthesia involved, they will tell you need transportation both ways. Again, if anesthesia, they will also tell you not to eat or drink within 12 hours of surgery.

They will send you a bill. I have always suspected this it the real purpose of the preop visit. Maybe I'm to cynical.

I have always gotten instructions from the Dr. about how to prepare for surgery, especially if the pre-op is just hours before the surgery.

Call your Dr's office and ask if instructional information was mailed.
