My Parents Are Very Impatient

I am very happy how I was raised by both of my parents, but the one thing I feel injustice about though is they are both very impatient, especially my dad, he can't stand patience to wait for anything and complaining most of the time, like he can't wait for a internet page to load or for the computer to access internet, says that cooking takes up to much time, how he can't wait for retirement that is in 3 years and keeps on complaining whenever the weather is bad, now I am saying all this because I was raised and told by both of my parents that it is good to learn patience and be patient and that you can't have everything suddenly, now I am used to being very patient with things in life but feel that unfairness that my parents, though taught me to be patient but they themselves aren't, and also with complaining, my dad tells me not to complain but he himself complains on almost anything and it is very annoying when he turns on his negativity, what is a good way to discuss about these matters with my parents?

Don't. Just let it pass without comment. You're not going to change anything, so don't create hard feelings within the family.

@Jenn044,
This is not your job. You do not have to fix his faults.

As the others said - it'll only cause a rift.

Work, save $$, and move out as soon as you can.

Irritability can be a sign of depression or pain.

He is probably under great stress. When is the last time he had a checkup?

Do you have any other help coming to the house? Do you get paid for providing care for your mother?

@PUNKEY,
Thank you for your answer, my dad is working overtime and hadn't had a check up in a while, currently I am the only one that looks after my mom and no I don't get paid to look after her.

Are there financial pressures for your folks? Why does your Dad work so much?

Maybe your Mom needs professional care at home during the day. If you went to work you could help pay for this. I say this because you need to get out of the house and sicialize with other young adults. Even part time.

What does your mother's doctor say she needs? .

@PUNKEY,
No, we live pretty financially stable, my dad works because it is a kind of job he found and chose years ago when I was little.
My mom can be left at home for a few hours but I prefer to look after her for now.
The doctor didn't say anything about my mom needing care but it is best to look after her for her safety.
