From personal experience:
- Body lotion, every day, on problem areas and areas that often become problematic. Try to prevent it before it starts.
- Hydrocortisone cream. The over the counter stuff is a very small percentage but it helps.
- Try to avoid super-hot water when showering. This also helps to keep skin from drying out, which causes the itching.
- Contact your doctor. You might need stronger hydrocortisone cream or they might even test you for allergies.
And, hang in there. I know how bad it can get. My itchy hands were caused by a nickel allergy and it took a good 6 months for the doctor to figure that out, a good 18 or so years ago. But once you've got something that works, make sure you can always access it.
