Come to America Nimh. With you're brains it wouldn't take all day to find a job that paid you enough disposable income to buy such things 2 or 3 times a week.
just got new ones with suns and moons on them... they are dark blue. pretty!
Present ones are navy blue flannel...
Shin, you're not sure that they are white?
(welcome to able2know!)
totally beige, to match my personality.
Beige, my foot! Dys, if you had sheets that matched your personality, you'd never be able to get to sleep!
If he had sheets to match his personality, they would be rubber...
ok, rubber comes in beige.
Multicolor plaid, they're flannel, nice and warm.
Someone should start a topic about what we WEAR to bed..
Why don't you Zane?
My sheets right now are IKEA brand, nice soft cotton
with duvet cover and no top sheets (they're too much work).

Nice, but that's a bit too cutsie-dutsie for me. And with the broidery on the pillows you wake up in the morning with patterns on your cheek.

Hi,
I am looking for high quality bed sheets, actually an entire set for my new place.
But I am a guy and have no clue about such things....I did some research on the internet, found stuff about thread count, brand names, etc. But I still need more info....
basically, if I just know what brands are good and where to buy them, that's good enough, from there I can probably pick out the right colors and right style....
please help me!!
ummm.... well, where do you live?
If you buy all cotton (I have to have all cotton) your sheets may wrinkle, but I find them more comfy on my skin. You can also buy cotton-poly blends which wrinkle less (or not at all).
Target has both all cotton and cotton blend sheets in a good variety of colors. I think Bed Bath and Beyond and Linens and Things are both good stores to shop for sheets in. Have you tried searching online? You can find some killer deals if you look.
As far as thread count goes, most sheets have over 200 threads per square inch (thread count) and the higher that number is, the softer the sheets.
Welcome to able2know and good luck with your new place!
Blueberry- very soft flannel from LL Bean.
Hardly ever on sale, but lasts for years!!! They are also available online.
I also have forest green and ivory sets. ( I get COLD on hard cotton sheets in winter!!)
There's a Jane Seymour comforter/sheet ensemble called Coral Canyon that I've been drooling over. Buttery yellow and coral ! May have to splurge with my tax refund!
flannel. I hate the way they look but they are warm.
