I have all colors. This week they're striped in Burgundy/white,
the week before I had a red-white checkered set (duvet), all
in 100 % cotton.

I agree with Occom Bill - good sheets are a necessity for
me too.

I agree with you and Bill, CJ.

My bed is all Ralph Lauren. Sateen sheets. Wild pattern mix of leopard, velvet, red & multicolor Oriental paisley and tan French floral. Only RL can make all that work. Not too feminine, not too masculine, and more than a touch exotic.

This photo doesn't do it justice, but it's all I could find online.

My color is not in the poll:

Old fashioned white linen, duvetts and pillow cases are white damask.

I haven't been able to cough up the dough for 1000 count shets. I do have 400 count shets. The really good sheets feel like super-thin suede.

I don't like the high count cotton, it's hard to scoot around in bed, it tries to cling to you.

I just looked and don't see a label. I can tell you that Overstock.com and Smartbargains.com are the best places to find good sheets deeply discounted, though!

BrandX: I think you're confusing sateen with satin.

I love white sheets (and towels) the higher the thread count the better. You're so right about it being worth the $$$.

Can't stand flannel .

I always had white sheets, but recently bought 550 count sateen lavender sheets. Very comfy.

Last year I bought a set of navy flannel sheets which gave me enormous satisfaction. I didn't realize why until I happened to re-read George MacDonald's The Princess and the Goblin which describes the Princess's many-time great grandmother with sheets the color of the midnight sky.

By the by, we have a queen sized bed and Mr. Noddy is a large and inert sleeper. I've started buying queen sized fitted sheets and king sized flat sheets. My sleep is much improved.

I have a variety of colors. I also have winter and summer sheet. My winter sheets are called New Brunswick sheets and they're very soft and warm in the winter.

I felt a little queer blowing dough on something like sheets... but as soon as I slept on them, I knew where the extra money went. Then next day I ordered another set. Normal high quality sheets feel like burlap by comparison. Truthfully folks, bedding is at least as important as mattress quality when it comes to a good night's sleep. Buy at least one set of the very finest sheets you can afford. You will never regret it.

MMmmmm sounds wonderful!!!!!
Can i sleep with you?
You know.. just to check out the sheets.

Shocked Eh, well, you'll have to go through normal channels. Please include a recent photo with your resume and send it to my PM box.
(Every single guy reading this thread just went to overstock.com or smartbargains.com to order some sheets.)
