(The) Bloop was an ultra-low-frequency and extremely powerful underwater sound detected by the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in 1997.[1] In 2002 it was said to be consistent with large marine animals, though it was also consistent with the noises generated by icequakes in large icebergs, or large icebergs scraping the ocean floor.[2] By 2012 NOAA concluded that the noise was ice-related.[1][3]
The other possible definition being the bloop whale is utterly terrifying!

I thought it might be a term for a mixture of blood and "poop"*, which is just what I need to have on my mind before Christmas dinner.
*An Americanism we Brits sometimes see. I know what it means.
I use the wrist type all the time. Some people will say they are not that accurate, but it makes very little difference to me. Blood pressure varies throughout the day and night.
