In the event of rain, the parade will be held in the evening.
In the event it rains, the parade will be held in the evening.
Which is the correct phrase?
Thanks.
Both are correct.
Which one do you prefer?
@tanguatlay,
In the second sentence I'd write the beginning phrase as, "in the event that it rains."
I agree with Blue . . . in the event that it rains.
