Old online date, is now my co worker

This time last year, after a month of chatting w/a guy via a dating app...we finally go on a date. Date was fine, late lunch & coffee shop after ( no kiss, simple hug goodbye, after he walked me to my car) , we stayed in contact via text on/off for the month after...then eventually the texting stopped...on his end. Flash forward now almost a year later (and several dates after) to the exact day, I start a new job, working in the same office...very small...pass his office to get to the bathroom kindof small. While being introduced as the newbie in the office we exchanged hellos. It took all of 2 seconds to realize I knew he looked farmilar, and about 60 to actually remember where from. What are the odds?!?
I'd like it best to keep it professional, since he didn't say anything...should I just continue on like that was our first time meeting? It felt slightly awkward, once I realized this is the same guy that ghosted me lol We are going to have to work in direct contact, speaking daily... any suggestions?

@WhyMe2020,
If he doesn't remember you, or pretends not to, just go along with it.

Learn to have a sense of humor about this. What are the odds?!

You were just an acquaintenance, that's all. Don't make more of this than what it is.

@WhyMe2020,
I agree. This is a funny story... nothing more.

It is best to keep your personal life and your professional life separate. He is now a co-worker. Treat him as a co-worker. Nothing else matters. You could mention it, as a joke... if you feel you need to relieve tension. But keep it professional and make it clear it is just a funny story.

@WhyMe2020,
You had a brief, casual acquaintance.

Now you are colleagues.

You behave as you always should with a colleague - politely and courteously, nothing personal.
