Acquired brain injury and earplugs

Hi, my husband has an ABI following a MVA in 2016. We went on a cruise in 2011, and he suffered vertigo like symptoms the whole 14 days on board, and for 3 weeks after. Now he wants to try cruising again, and I've been told by inserting an earplug this will alleviate this problem. He had to lay down each and every afternoon to relieve the ' heads all over the place ' symptoms, so he could enjoy his dinner. Can any body PLEASE shed some light on this problem for us. Thanks so much for taking the time to read my entry.

@Elizabeth Tomlin,
Have him go to his doctor and ask for a referral to a neurologist and ask about BPPV (Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo).

Note: I am not a doctor, but my husband had serious vertigo and that's what it turned out to be. It's certainly worth a shot, and BPPV is mild and very treatable, so hopefully that's what your husband's got.
