I need a new homepage. Any suggestions? I want links to news and articles of note and weather.

I am using MSNBC or Arts and Letters right now, but I'm bored.

When you sign up for a yahoo email account, you will have access to a page called "My Yahoo", where you will be able to format a homepage to your liking.

Joe- Try www.refdesk.com

If you can't find it here, you can't find it anywhere!

Personally, I prefer Google.

Fast load, good searches, no distractions.

Actually, I don't even have a home page. I access IE directly through the desktop icons, ie. A2K, Refdesk, weather, Google, etc.

Damn, I love A2K. What a bunch of smart people.

These are all good suggestions including Craven's, which has a certain xen quality about:blank it. Confused Laughing

Now I'm torn between Tico's My Way which I am very much intrigued with and, the always reliable, Pheonix's ref-desk which I've seen before and need to explore.

Panzade and DrewDad: I have goggle on my desktop and yahoo too. Both at the top of their game esp. google which seems to want to be all things to all people.
(me too.)

Thank you all for responding and with such solid suggestions.

Now I start to explore.....

Oh, wait. I forgot. Yes, shewolfnm, you are a dork. That's why we love you.

I like the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy home page at the bbc (it's the www link I have here). I'm only one click from the BBC home page, so I can either meander around h2g2 or get serious at the BBC right quick.

I'm also mad for Arts and Letters - I know you're tired of it.

For a couple of months, when I was in need of true lightness in my life, I had Hello Magazine as my home page. All the British gossip that's fit to print. Provides a definitely alternate perspective on life. What is Crown Princess Mary Louise of Sweden doing now?

Besides meeting me for cocktails on Friday, I don't know.

and this can keep me entertained for quite a while on a rainy day (not quite what you've got in mind, but it could help if you can't sleep)

Yes, well that is a wealth of information including this:

The Craven Meeting at Newmarket, Cambridgeshire (Apr 12-14).

Who's he meeting?

Are we invited?

Wait. wait. wait... have you considered...

http://www.timesonline.co.uk/ ???

That's my home page... the London Times, UK edition. All the news, none of the BS... at least, none of the American BS.

Part of the reason I like it is that the London Times cancelled its USA crowd unless you paid, but somehow, but accessing the UK version (don't tell 'em) it's free. I love a bargain.
