I'm turning 23 in about a month. I look like I'm about 15, so people say. When I approach 30, I'm considering lying "up" about my age, so people go "WOW you look so good for your age!" If I tried that now, people would just go, "You look like a high schooler" but with more force than they already do. ;-;

You've got the right idea, Krysia. Mama always said, "Never tell people you're younger than you really are...they'll think, 'God, she's had a hard life!' Instead, tell them you're older than you really are. They'll think you've taken really good care of yourself."

I lied about my age, telling people I was older than I really was, until I reached 35. That seemed about right. You see, I'm self-employed, so I wanted to project a more experienced image. It worked. Then I hit 40 and realized I was still saying 35. That was a shock. Since then, I've become comfortable telling my real age. (It's taken long enough, huh?!)

I can't even buy alcohol yet..... it sucks (even tho I don't like drinking)

I remember some startled looks on parents' faces at Parent-Teacher
night my first year of teaching. I looked as young as some of their sons.
For a while I contemplated growing a beard, just for "seasonong".

I remeber when I worked at my old job and they hired somebody younger then me to be my boss (p.s. I was 19 years old... he just turned 18), needless to say, he was fired in a day!!! He came in (2 days later then supposed and he was supposed to wear a collared shirt and tie) and he was wearing A tye dye shirt and ripped jeans. lol

Really old thread, but I know there newer people on A2K.... and I am still curious as to how ages varies... and I want to see if there is anyone here around my age!
