Pretty sketchy here, but I am trying to find the title/author of a sci-fi short story in which (I believe) an army general (?) decides the only person able to properly describe something (space flight?) would be a poet, but because of the military spending and societal priorities, there are no more poets left. Does this ring a bell? Thanks.
No idea, but it sounds like the kind of thing Ray Bradbury would have written (he also wrote a lot of sci-fi short stories). So, you might want to check Bradbury sites.
