Hey I just ordered that Arcade Fire album after hearing only one song. How is it? I'm psyched, I really like the sound.

The only album released in 2004 that I liked is the Franz Ferdinand album.

There was good stuff in 2003, but 2004s indy orgy was pretty weak, in my opinion. My girlfriend has Antics, and I dig it alright as a follow up album.

I thought the latest Modest Mouse sucked real bad. So I most of my 2004 music investments were in old stuff.

i'm basing my vote on about 5 songs i've managed to download, i don't know what it is but i love the sound too

i've looked for a copy of the album but my local coporate stores aren't carrying it, i guess i'll have to order a copy on line somewhere

i actually own copies of my other votes, just for the record

I just heard about Arcade Fire on NPR this morning. Win Butler's grandfather was Alvino Rey the inventor of the singing guitar. This link may or may not take you to the audio story.

There were a lot of reissues in '04, eb. I wouldn't be surprised if there was even some Belafonte that was remixed, rehashed and recycled.

There was a Belafonte album by Bear Mountain. It comprised everything he recorded from the very beginning and through his first three or so albums. Five disks, I believe. I have a copy of course. But I still own most of that material on vinyl, bought as far back as 1958 or 59.
