How many A2K topics can you find in not only the first page of Google search results, but listed as the first result of all, by using a search string of 5 words or less?
Keep in mind that Google is constantly spidering all over the place (many, many sites other than ours), so what works today might not work as well tomorrow.
This isn't a requirement or anything; it's just a (hopefully) fun way of doing a down-and-dirty search for topics which potential members will be able to find without bending over backwards.
Oh, and another thing - your five words can't contain any of the following:
* able2know
* able2know.com
* a2k
Happy Hunting!
Oooh, these are excellent!
One way to do this is to work backwards from current topics (that's how I did it; don't know if this is how you did it, mac) and use the key words from those topics' titles in varying combinations (with and without quotes, for example) in my Google searches. I also try to concentrate on topics which have been visited by newbies because I'm sure that's the logical progression -
* person wants info
* person loads query into Google
* Google returns A2K as its top response
* person clicks on A2K link and visits site
* person wants to respond, so they register
* person responds
* we welcome person who becomes our friend forever
Or, something like that. :wink:
So I do hope, many people will want info about me, since the first Google response is my A2K-profile. :wink:
When you use another search maschine, namely
http://www.kartoo.com/
it is very interesting to see the results in a graphical and networked format.
In a twist, here's one search which takes you to the old server (the golf game):
Search string: "Mini Putt Putt Golf" small
Google results:
