Is it too late?

I'm a grade 10 student. I was considering taking drama and theatre this year, but I didn't in the end. However I'm regretting my decisions, but it's too late to switch now. Acting seems like a fun career and I seriously want to go into it if possible. I know I most likely won't be in Hollywood or anything like that, but would it be possible for me to make enough money to support a family even though I've started late? p.s. I live in a city with few acting opportunities and I know there are about 1000 kids my age who've already been taking acting classes outside of school, which is pretty discouraging.

@Ike14,
Unless you're going to die tomorrow, of course it's not too late. People have started acting in their 40s and 50s.

@Ike14,
There are a lot of careers in the film/acting area. Very few people become super stars.

Take the class and keep your eyes open to all the things that make a production successful. Attend as many live theater events as possible. Have fun.

it is very hard work and there are hundreds of thousands of people trying to make a living at the lower end of acting

__

get a part-time job, earn some money and start taking private acting classes

drama classes at school are one thing, but you need to add in private classes as well

try out for plays in all your local community theatres

volunteer in non-acting roles in those community theatres so you can see what goes on. talk to some of the locals who are doing community theatre
