O.K. So for work I have to come up with five songs that are about friends, because we need some songs to be playing in the background for a power point concerning school and kids. The music must be current and have no foul language. PLEASE HELP!
There's a GREAT song that came out a couple years ago.
It's called "We're Going to be Friends," and it's by The White Stripes. It's just a friendly, folky accoustic tune.
don't ask me i have an unnatural leaning towards things that make others offened, just seems right

"One" by Creed? It's not brand new but on the recently released greatest hits.
And "One" by U2 but I love the version covered by Johnny Cash, also not brand new but not too old, "we're one but we're not the same, we've got to carry each other..."
Pretty sophisticated stuff though, maybe not for young kids...
Music...the trouble is...the good stuff expresses how we really feel...and "school" is about instructing the young about how they OUGHT to feel...
And we ought to be friends all right, but it's tough..seeing as how we are all so prickly...
But real friendship is worth fighting for...
there is a site on the web called letssingit.com where you can search by keywords, not just titles or artists. A search on the word friend should yield some results.
