I bought my house 7 years ago. My boyfriend moved with me a year later because he was laid off. He found a job two years later. He was paying childlike support . I never asked him to contribute any money . For the first 3 years he helped with gardening ,some cooking, and some cleaning. I earned more than twice him. I never ask him how he spends his money. Besides I let him us my credit card to transfer his debt of $16000 since I had zero interest on it. But 5 months ago I learned he created another $7000 balance on his credit card. Of course he was able to pay off to reduce his original balance from16000 to 5000 dollars that was good at least. He also purchased a second car (used car) & he said he wants to use it to work extra hours for Uber. So I very rarely see him these days. I have decided to ask him to contribute some money toward mortgage and other expenses. Do you think that is unfair?
@Sara64,
Sounds fair to me. I'm willing to bet he has no idea how badly he's been taking advantage of you, the situation, or both. Does he show other signs of being a narcissist?
