I was wondering whether this would differ from country to country.
So post ur recommendation(s) and where ur frm(just the country).
Norway:
Phillip Pullman - Dark Matter trilogy + Count Karlstein.
Clive Barker - Abarat
Eoin Colfer - Artemis Fowl trilogy.
Ishmael + Story of B : Daniel Quinn.
Are you looking for recommendations for yourself? Or a particular person? I would usually ask if someone has a penchant for a particular genre then incorporate that into my recommendations. But in this case, I'll just recall the books I enjoyed when I was in that age bracket (this list is by no means exhaustive).
- Pride and Prejudice
- To Kill a Mockingbird
- The Hobbit
- Jane Eyre
- The Catcher in the Rye
- Catch 22
- John Marsden's Tomorrow, When the War Began series
- The Great Gatsby
- 1984 and Animal Farm
- Great Expectations
- more...but my memory is failing me here
A lot of these have become perennial favourites. Additionally, I am from Australia.
