Port Columbus, M.A. . . .
Lil' Kay, that was a joke--you see, you asked if long-term were covered (meaning covered from the elements) and i intentionally misconstrued it to mean covered with snow . . .
But, as we all know, if you gotta explain it, it ain't funny . . .
Aha! Thanks for explaining for me. Must be a long day for me (or something!)
Tired.
All the shovellers and travellers are tired now.
Columbus got hit bad. (See my post on page 2 or so for more.) We had a bunch of snow, then icy rain, then a bunch of snow, then more ice -- the last bit of ice is what did in the trees and therefore the power (lots of trees and humungous branches fell over/ off, and lots of powerlines down), but it was a few blizzardy spells and there has been a lot of white stuff on the ground for a week or so. I'm not sure how many inches fell, but with all the icy rain it compacted to about 6 inches most places, and has stayed. Useless to try to shovel, it's solid. We just drove right over it after trying to shovel the driveway and getting nowhere fast.
HOWEVER... warmer today, a lot less ice on the trees finally, and will likely melt most of the groundcover soon. Which is good. Yeah. (Said unconvincingly by an unrepentant snow-lover...)
I told Set about it, soz. He's soooooo looking forward to diggin' out the jeep
Now - does anyone know where Montana is under those 22 inches of snow hitting her area?
I got lucky, Beth. The wind was blowing so hard, it blew all our snow somewhere else. Poor bastids.
