Hey. First of all keep calm it was just to check if a person was cheating.
I knew his email and password for the email ( used for facebook) and i requested a password change. I did click the link and i skipped the actual change of the password. Once i was done checking the facebook i logged out. I did even delete the emails received requesting to change the password. So my question remains: will the person notice? Will it keep having normal access to the facebook account?

Yes, of course they will, because their read tracking will be off. And shame on you for invading their privacy.

What difference does that make? You spied on him. Shame on you. You did an unforgivable thing and all you are asking is "will he find out?".
