THEME MUSIC for Burns "VIETNAM"

I heard a smattering of the theme music for this series and was really impressed. It is derivative of Mike Post's "NYPD Blue". posts theme emulated a subway train and Vietnam's sounds like Helicopters.
any other TV or movie theme music so designed?

NYPD's theme has long been a favorite of mine.

It Does have a bit of action anticipation in the theme. My folks used to watch Peter Gunn ,but for some reason I wasnt allowed.
I do recall one of my favorite (and my first) BIG western, and really loved the theme. Later found out it was by Jerome Moross (I think someone on A2K mentiond it)
