So, I've got a stuffed husky that I got in the 3rd grade (I'm now a 19 year old college student and I still have it). She's easily my most precious possession. Over time, I've noticed that whenever I'm upset, be it mad or sad, hugging her calms me near-instantly every single time! My question is why does this happen? I'm pretty curious about it and I hope someone can answer, thanks!
@SWolf27,
She gives you comfort and is always there for you.
@Sturgis,
Thanks for answering my silly question!
@SWolf27,
Not a problem.
...and remember: No question is silly if you are asking to find something out.
@SWolf27,
Touch contact can help comfort most people, and this way you can do it on your own terms and your own timetable. E. g. you don't have to wait until someone gets home if you're alone, or someone calms down if you've had an argument.
