Good source for Great **NEW** Documentaries?

I'm going to ask this again. It's a perennial question that no one has really answered.

Where can I find information on up and coming NEW documentaries that have some legitimate academic, creative, whatnot buzz and credibility?

What blogs or sites or media outlets do you mine for new political, arts, culture, geographical, etc... documentaries?

A straight link to IMDb will not suffice as looking over there (documentary pages are often not updated until their release and often updated by their biased filmmakers).

@tsarstepan,
I may be able to find out for you (but give me some time and feel free to remind me) as the gal I podcast with is friends with a woman who just got her PhD and her focus was documentaries.
