So yesterday a spot just below and outside of my knee began to itch but there was no bump. Then this morning I noticed a bump about the size of a gum ball. By 11 it was about the size of a tennis ball and it has stayed the same size sense. It is red, hard, and hot. As far as I can tell there is no evidence of a bite from any bugs. I have no idea where it could've come from. And ideas on what it may be and how I could get rid of it?
I have no idea what it is, but a doctor will likely know right away.
@Mu ,
Look up cat scratch disease. See if that could be it.
Get to a Dr asap.
Cysts often settle in back of the knee. But yours enlarged so fast that it really sounds like some kind of spider or insect bite.

I concur. Your regular doctor or a walk-in clinic is the appropriate course of action here.
