So what happened was I was engrossed in an intense chat on my phone and too focused that I stepped on dogs and apparently they were butt-to-butt !! Goodness Gracious that squeaks !!

Moral of the story: Don't use smart phones while you walk in dark.

Good god but that grunts ! Good gracious, how audacious ! My word, how they were heard !

You would use 'apparently' only if you did not see for yourself that they were 'head-to-butt', but were told (or heard) later.
