Generally, there is no fixed recipe for successful prototyping, but there is a distinction made between the high fidelity and low fidelity prototypes. Could anyone here tell me how to choose these two types and why?

As I used to tell my design associates: you can have as much tight tolerance as you can afford. I assume its the same with fidelity. How much you need covered by how much you can afford.
