Try doing this on a different device. Since things are timing out, it could even be the speed of your connection that's causing the issue.

I have the same problem!
I tried to log in from a different browser, from a different computer, I deleted cookies and history, I cleared everything but this still happens and my account has been blocked and people think I have deleted them.
I figured it out. I erased the app history on my phone and tried to log on from there. It asked for my phone number and it actually allowed me to enter my phone and I got my account back!
I am having the same problem, but on my PC. I have tried different PCs and the issue remains. the FB help centre is no help because i have to log in in order to get help. STUPID.
