Good article, to me, but tough to read about threatened water rationing. The piece covers some of the background - long time piping problems, present agricultural needs, and so on.

Well, Abq and CA have relatively dry heat, but I don't know about Rome et al. I've never been there in the summertime. What? I'm not so crazed. Aside from the heat, I'm ordinarily tourist crowds avoidant, students out of school, and so on. Gee, just think of the lines to get a scoop of gelato!

On the fountains of Rome, I'm rather keen on them. Have known about the piping problems for a long time, but it sounds more worrisome than usual.
