I have 2 bearded dragons, one 12 and the other 6 months old. They are both very healthy and active but as I continue to change their water bowls every morning I keep seeing mosquito larva in the older ones water. They don't seem to be bothering the younger one. Please help!!
You change the water regularly. It takes 7 to 10 days for a mosquito to mature from an egg to an adult. So, if you empty and replace the water every day, mosquitoes will not be able to complete their life cycle. Also reptiles are cold blooded and not at risk of biting from mosquitoes.
@centrox,
Thank you so much. I change his water every night before bed but for the past three days they continue to keep popping up.
If you change the water every day, the eggs will never grow into mosquitoes. If they did, they might well be eaten by the bearded dragons, which could be a problem if the mosquitoes are carrying infections.

I must disagree here. If the mosquito has a disease it would've transferred to the drinking water when the eggs were being placed. The bearded dragon might even draw some eggs into their system while taking water, which in turn, could cause the bearded creature to become ill.

Quite right, and a very good point.
