Previously abused chihuahua rescued from kennel. She loves to greet me when I come home and wants to get with me in chair. When she is on floor every time I make a movement she jumps up walks away. Same response if I walk toward her. She has has had nothing but love for 6 months and of course I have never hit her. Any help to help her over this fear greatly appreciated.

This might end up being something you need a dog behaviorist for. Maybe talk to the vet as they deal with timid critters all the time.
And good on ya for getting a rescue.
