Hide post - not always between Andoid app and Windows browser

If I click on the "Hide post" pop-up in a posting on my Android LG smartphone Facebook APP, more often than not the "posting" that I "hide" and do not wish to see is "not hidden" when I open the Facebook page in my Windows 10 browser = Waterfox.

And the converse is also true: hide a posting on Facebook in Windows 10 browser and its not hidden when I open Android Facebook APP

And, yes, I do allow a period of time between the viewings just to be sure. For instance at 3 AM PST time I hid a number of Facebook postings via my Window 10 browser page. At about 10 AM PST when I accessed Facebook via my Android APP, the postings which I hid earlier, were in fact not hidden.

Any views?
