Children Songs and Nursery Rhymes

As I am not an English speaker, I don't know a lot of nursery rhymes in english.
However, I (try to) teach English to a young girl.
As she has great difficulties, I thought it would be a good idea to sing some english songs.
That's why I need your help to give me lyrics (and maybe the tune) of some songs.
I already know:
The Muffin Man; ABC...; Humpty Dumpty; Head, Shoulders...; Jingle Bells; Carol of the Bells; London Bridge is falling down; 10 green bottles; row row row your boat and twinkle, twinkle little star.

Do you have any other please?
Thanks.

RE. welcome to A2K. I have so many that I can tell you about. Many nursery rhymes have a more significant meaning behind them. If your young charge understands rounds, I have many of those as well.

Thanks!
Actually, I'm looking for songs that could teach her things such as the body parts, geography, and irregular verbs (she has real troubles learning it! Razz ).
Do you have some?

Irregular verbs? Wow. Don't know of a one. There is a song called"Dem Bone, Dem bones, dem dry bones. Check it out on the web.

There's another called "Hand on my head, vos is dos here. This is my head knocker my Mommy, dear". ...found it but I couldn't cut and paste because it came with a lot of other stuff.

Since you are French, how about:

French; written By: unknown; copyright unknown

Alouette je te plumerai
Je te plumerai la tête

English Translation: Alouette means "Lark", so you will find it is much harder to sing this song in English since "lark" has only one syllable, while Alouette has four. The song is actually about "plucking" the feathers (plumage) from a lark, presumably in preparation for cooking. A lark is considered to be a small "game bird" (a game bird is a bird considered to be suitable for food, like the coot, dove, grouse, hazel hen, mud hen, partridge, pigeon, plover, quail, rail, snipe, thrush, and woodcock).
Lark, nice Lark (or Lark, lovely Lark)
Lark, I am going to pluck you
I am going to pluck your head,
I am going to pluck your head,
And the head, and the head,
O-o-o-o-oh

All the verses are the same except the part of the body.
The usual ones are
La tête - the head
Le nez - the nose
Les yeux - the eyes
Le cou - the neck
Les ailes - the wings
Le dos - the back
Les pattes - the legs
Le queue - the tail

There's "head, shoulders, knees and toes", but it just covers the title body parts and eyes, ears, mouth and nose. You touch as you go along:

Head, shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes
Head, shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes

And eyes and ears and mouth and nose

Head, shoulders, knees and toes
knees and toes

Thank you Letty, but as my "student" and I are both French... well... we already know "Alouette, gentille alouette" by heart! Laughing
And you're right, it would be quite hard to translate and sing it directly in English! Confused
What I need is an "authentic" English (or American) song, in order for her to learn and memorize more easily the "bases" (body parts, verbs, places...)

Thank you for "Head, shoulder knees and toes", littlek, but I already knew this one!
Any other? (Maybe some Christmas songs...)
Thanks.
