Wireless Signal Boost

i use a wireless router (linksys 802.11g) at home, but the 3rd floor does not get a signal. what should i buy that can boost the signal? can anyone suggest a specific device or brand?

You can get the Linksys WRE54G range extender.

Since your existing router is on the 1st floor you would probably want to install the range extender on the 2nd floor to feed the 3rd floor.

You might also try tilting one or both of the antennas on the access point.

Standard antennas are made to transmit and receive in a donut shape.
