Hi, I am from China. I want to practise my writting English skill here so I will share my photos to everybody. All the photos were taken by myself. Now I will learn how to descript something. If there is any mistake about my English language please let me know, or you can give me some suggestion about the words and sentence. I have my personal website that want to translate into English, so I need a perfect English.

Hi Elf... Cute Name, Cute Avatar, Nice Photos.

I could only see a few of them... the first two. Sometimes it is hard to display that many photos in one post on a2k.

I've made some suggested changes for you, Elf. You've done well and I understood you with no problem, however, if you want your English to be standard, it might be written something like this:

Hi, I am from China. I want to practice my English writing skills here, so I will share my photos with everybody. All the photos were taken by me. I am practicing my English by describing them. If there is any mistake in my English language usage, please let me know, or you can give me suggestions about the words and sentences. I have a personal website that I want to translate into English so I need to perfect my writing skills.

1. This small town is one of the famous water towns of China.* It has been a peaceful old town since the Qing Dynasty.**

2. The boat is the main vehicle for the people living in Zhu Jia Jiao. A small river runs through it.***

Because you are trying to describe and inform, it would be good to give more information to your readers, for example:
*Iif you have space, you might want to use an adjective to describe that part of China (of northern China or of central China or wherever it is.)

**It would also be great to say when the Qing Dynasty was and put it in parentheses... (351-762 CE or whatever it is.)

***"It" could also be further identified, for example: "through the main thoroughfare of town" or "through old town."

You have posted very interesting photographs and I'd be happy to help you with the English in your captions. Could you please re-post the rest of the photographs, two at a time, as you have time?

Thanks,
Piffka

To Rosslyn: My hometown is Yangzhou City in Jiangsu Province. Maybe next time I will show some picture of my beautiful hometown. There are lots of royal building in U.K. I know. A very gentle country in my mind:)

To ^JB^: Thank you for your suggestion, I will put some photo to your topic in future. My age? The only fact I can tell you is I am not young, beyond the age of chatting in Internet. I am sure I am older than you.

To Piffka: Thank you very very much..... You are very kind to give me lots of suggestion about my English. I have re-posted my photo and put some modification here I hope you can see them. I will put all of these content on my personal website and will invite you to access it when I complete.

I like to write some articles in Chinese from my childhood and dream I can write something in English someday. For reading English, It's not very difficult for me because I have translated lots of technical tutorials from E to C. But you know translating an article from foreign language to mother-tongue depend on the skill of your mother language.

More practice make more perfect I know:) I am a web designer and like to take picture of nature landscape in China. I will share more photos with you and hope my English will be improved soon.
