I haven't actually seen the will, so I'm not really sure. I'm pretty sure she is planning on giving the 75K to her brother in law.

I haven't seen the will, so I'm really not sure. Yes, I do believe my surviving cousin is giving the 75K to her brother in law.

Well, that brother in law is getting 75K more than he is legally entitled to, as a gift, he should think himself lucky, and in addition, that thought should remove any feeling of 'guilt' that you may have. If somehow I got that kind of money out of the blue without having to do any work for it, when I had no legal claim on it, I guess I would just keep it and shut up. People who bring a cash register to a funeral, so to speak, (and via a cancer ward as well!) don't deserve any consideration.
