@Niganwhite,
In another thread you said you played basketball, so you must be doing some exercise. You might be a little overweight, but at least you are not extremely obese.
Exercise more, even if it's just walking, which is a great way to lose weight. One thing I have found is to cut out all added sugar. That means sodas, fruit juices over 1 glass a day, cake, ice cream, even sugar in your tea or coffee. Get rid of it.
If you feel the need for something sweet, try glycine powder. Glycine is one of the 22 essential proteins and it promotes weight loss while preventing muscle loss during dieting. The best way to buy it is in bulk-1 pound or more. It is inexpensive.
Glycine has been shown to prevent muscle loss when dieting to reduce weight. Without it, people eating less to lose weight also lose muscle mass. Take glycine while dieting to prevent your muscles from becoming weak from the diet. A quarter teaspoon equals one gram of glycine, and you should have several grams a day. I take 15 grams, but I would recommend starting out with only 2 grams at the beginning. People used to get much more glycine-a main ingredient in gelatin-back when they used to eat the bones of the animals they killed for food. We no longer do that, and our bodies miss the glycine.
And remember, whether you take glycine or not-cut out all sugar. Doing that will help you return to normal weight.
